Checking Ottawa’s temperature…
Mobile service is offered when it’s 15°C or warmer outside.
Why does the temperature matter?
Windshields are bonded to your car with a urethane sealant. Below about 15°C the sealant cures too slowly and may not bond properly, so we don’t install or repair outdoors in the cold.
Your windshield is part of your car’s safety structure — it helps hold the roof up in a rollover and supports the passenger airbag. A weak bond is not worth the risk.
When it’s colder, we do the work in-shop where the temperature is controlled. Call us to book a time.

Can my windshield be repaired, or does it need replacing?
Chips smaller than a loonie that are away from the edge and the driver's view can usually be repaired in about 30 minutes. Long cracks, edge damage and damage in the driver's view usually need a replacement, which takes about 2 hours. Answer three questions for a quick guide.
Frequently asked questions
Q. Is mobile windshield repair really free?
Yes — there is no travel fee anywhere in the Ottawa/Gatineau area when it’s 15°C or warmer outside. You only pay for the repair itself, and many insurance policies cover chip repair with no deductible.
Q. Do I need to be there during the repair?
We need access to the vehicle and a quick check-in. Many customers hand over keys and get back to work while we repair.
Q. How cold is too cold for a mobile repair?
Resin and urethane need suitable temperatures to bond. In extreme cold we will suggest a heated garage or our shop so the repair cures properly.
Q. Which areas do you cover?
Ottawa, Nepean, Kanata, Orléans, Barrhaven, Gatineau and surrounding communities, with no travel fee in our service area.
